Haus Rules

While we say yes to almost anything, for the safety and well-being of our guests and space, all groups must follow the Haus Rules below.

Venue & Services

  • The venue team supports venue setup and smooth operations, but full event planning and coordination are not included unless contracted.

  • Venue setup includes:

    • Tables and chairs

    • In-Haus patio furniture

    • Pulling decor items from the Something Borrowed Room for your planning team to install

  • Glass Haus staff does not lead decor setup unless in-haus planning is booked.

  • Vendors not on our preferred list must be pre-approved.

Decor & Installations

  • No confetti or streamers (inside or outside)

    • Includes handheld streamers unless approved material: (link)

    • Not allowed: (link)

  • Nothing may be hung from the ceiling without prior approval from Glass Haus Management.

  • No tape, nails, or adhesives on walls unless explicitly approved.

  • Venue furniture may not be moved without approval.

Send-Off Guidelines

Pre-approved options:

  • Bubbles

  • Sparklers

  • Flower petals (real only, no artificial dyes)

  • Handheld pom-pom streamers (must stay attached to hand — no paper streamers)

Cold Sparks:

  • Allowed ONLY on paved area near the garage

  • Not allowed indoors or on the patio

  • Must be pre-approved in advance

  • Without prior approval, they will not be permitted on event day

Fire, Effects & Restrictions

  • No fog machines or snow machines (indoors or outdoors) without approval

  • Open flame is allowed only if enclosed:

    • Floating candles

    • Votives

    • Hurricanes

Special Note:

  • Hurricane vases from the Something Borrowed Room may be used for:

    • Floating candles

    • Battery-operated pillar candles

  • Real pillar candles are not allowed in hurricane vases

Access & Timing

  • Please reference your Venue Agreement for access times

  • Closing time = all breakdown must be complete

  • Please allow at least 1 hour for breakdown

Cleanup Responsibilities

  • You + Your Planning Team:

    • All personal items

    • Rentals

  • Glass Haus Staff:

    • Trash removal

    • Items from the Something Borrowed Room

Vendor Logistics

  • Load-in/out location: Ramp off the kitchen

  • Vehicles must be moved to the overflow lot after unloading

  • Day-of vendor communication: Your planner

  • All vendors must provide:

    • Certificate of Insurance (COI) or

    • Day-of insurance policy

Power & Sound

  • Access to 3 main electrical circuits in the reception hall

  • Electrical layout map

  • Glass Haus staff may limit sound levels if necessary

  • Outdoor receptions:

    • Band/music must end by 10:00 PM

Food & Beverage

  • All alcohol must be purchased through Prost!

  • Alcohol:

    • Allowed in venue + parking lot only if purchased through Prost

    • Alcohol on Tree Haus Village campus may be brought from home, but cannot enter the venue

Tree Haus Village

  • Only registered guests in Tree Haus Village are permitted onsite after 12:00AM

  • Children between walking age and age 5 are not permitted onsite unless otherwise approved by Management.

Insurance & Damages

  • All couples must:

    • Purchase event insurance through Nuptial

    • Provide a damage deposit check

Weather Plan

  • Weather decisions must be made by 11:00 AM on the event day

  • Rain plan:

    • Ceremony → Lower level

    • Cocktail hour → Main floor

  • Patio note:

    • Can become slippery after rain

    • Staff will squeegee if possible (requires 30–60 minutes)

Final Notes

  • Rules are in place to protect the venue, vendors, and your guests

  • Any items requiring approval must be submitted in advance
